Debbie is equity-trained and has traveled the country presenting workshops and helping students become leaders in the global world. She has experience working with people who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, family conflicts, divorce,​relationship challenges, parenting challenges, and working with kids who are having difficulty with managing emotions leading to behavioral challenges.  She is an empathetic listener using a Client-Centered approach along with Solution-Focused, Grief Counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Brief Counseling and Motivational Interviewing. Debbie enjoys working with children of all ages and adults who are struggling with a variety of issues to help them get centered and live a quality, healthy life.

A little bit about me:

Debbie completed her undergraduate degree in secondary education at Miami of Ohio and her graduate degree in counseling at Johns Hopkins University. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. Debbie is a retired school counselor with years of experience working with adolescents and their families on social-emotional, educational, and career issues. She focuses on developing executive functioning skills, goal setting, self-esteem building, and coping skills. 

 

Prior to being a counselor, Debbie worked as a teacher for twenty years.  She has additional experience working on the Adolescent Male and Female Crisis Stabilization Units at Sheppard Pratt Hospital.
