Allison has experience working with people with a large array of issues, ranging from general stress and life changes and difficulties with familial relationships, to a variety of mental illnesses and behavioral challenges in children. Some of the many diagnoses that she has experience with are anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, family stress, and life transitions. Allison works from a client-centered approach; Allison believes that clients are the experts on their lives and her goal is to assist them with the things that they feel they want to work on. While Allison allows clients to direct what they want to focus on she is also very upfront and honest about concerns she sees as a therapist.
