Madison’s goal in therapy is to create a space where clients feel genuinely seen, supported, and comfortable being themselves. She works collaboratively with clients to better understand their emotions, build effective coping strategies, and navigate challenges related to anxiety, relationships, identity, and life transitions.
Her work is grounded in a relational, attachment-informed, and trauma-informed perspective, with a strong focus on the quality of the therapeutic connection. She works with children, adolescents, young adults, couples, and families, and is especially attuned to how past experiences can shape emotional and relational patterns over time.
Additionally, Madison integrates cognitive-behavioral and exposure-based approaches to help clients respond more effectively to distressing thoughts and feelings, while also helping them better understand patterns in their relationships, identity, and emotions.
Her style is warm, flexible, and collaborative. She aims to meet clients where they are while also encouraging growth, insight, and more effective ways of coping.
A little bit about me:
Madison Vassallo is a clinical psychology doctoral student currently pursuing her degree in Massachusetts. Madison has experience working across a range of clinical settings, including college counseling, community mental health, and outpatient therapy. Her clinical experience emphasizes working with children, adolescents, and families, as well as providing crisis support to individuals navigating acute emotional distress.
Through these experiences, Madison has developed a strong foundation in supporting anxiety, emotion regulation, and relational challenges across developmental stages. She brings a thoughtful, flexible, and compassionate approach to her work, integrating both clinical training and research-informed perspectives into her care.
